Glen Cannon Emergency Gate Access Information

The Emergency Gate into Upper Glen Cannon was constructed and paid for (2016-2017) by the GCPOA through donations contributed by two-thirds of Glen Cannon property owners. As it sits on private property outside of Glen Cannon, legal access to the gate was negotiated by the GCPOA through deeded easements from the property owners.
PLEASE, if we need access, drive slowly and be considerate of the Hidden Valley residents on the other side of the gate. This is a private community like ours.
EMS vehicles have legal authority to access Glen Cannon via Clock Crest, via the Gate.
Glen Cannon owners have access to Clock Crest ONLY when weather or natural events prevent access to / egress from Wilson Road to the outside world. This gate cannot be used as an alternate exit during typical winter storms or other normally occurring weather events.
In the event of no access via Wilson Road (tree down, flooding, fire) there are only 8 people authorized by the Board to open the gates at top and bottom of Clock Crest. If they deem the circumstances are appropriate, they will open the gates and inform the Clock Crest resident by phone or email. An email blast will be sent to owners if the blockage is predicted to last a long time.
OUTBOUND DIRECTIONS:
> From Skye Drive, proceed through gate and bear RIGHT down the gravel driveway.
> Turn RIGHT at end of driveway onto Skyland Dr. & proceed 0.4 mi. to Fernwood Ln.
> Turn RIGHT onto Fernwood & proceed 0.3 mi. to Williamson Creek Rd.
> Turn right onto Williamson Creek Rd. to get to Wilson Rd.
INBOUND DIRECTIONS:
> From Wilson Rd. turn onto Williamson Creek Rd. and proceed 1 mile.
> Just past Community Center Dr., turn LEFT onto Fernwood Ln.
> Proceed on Fernwood 0.3 mi. & turn LEFT onto Skyland Dr.
> Proceed 0.4 mi. on Skyland to Clock Crest private drive
(after pavement ends, just past Mtn Laurel Ln. on right)
> Take hard LEFT onto Clock Crest gravel driveway & proceed 0.2 mi. to green gate on the left.
